Fairies & Hobblings/General Admission Summer Holidays (19th July - 31st August)
Booking is subject to an additional £1.50 booking fee per order.
Your booked session indicates the time slot for your visit. Please arrive at the start time and ensure you leave by the session's end time.
Dogs on a lead are permitted everywhere except in the adventure playground and the Gift Shop, with the exception of Guide/Assistance Dogs.
Access to the Adventure Playground is subject to weather and ground conditions.
There are three sets of steps in the attraction which are not wheelchair accessible and pushchairs must be parked under the shelter before these steps - we recommend bringing a sling. Please read our Accessibility Guide for more information.
Please note that parking (for those with Car Admission tickets) is only for visitors while they are at the attraction and cannot be used for leaving your vehicle while going elsewhere. No Motorhomes. Pedestrian tickets do not include parking. The closest alternative Car Park is Conyngham Hall car park, just a two minute walk away.
If there all sessions are sold out for car admission tickets, there may still be spaces for pedestrians instead.
The only entrance and exit is on High Bridge. Please note that pedestrian visitors must walk back to the main entrance where they entered to leave.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
This Summer, keep a look out for an enchanting fairy and the curiously courageous Hobbling, who guard the secrets of the forest and may even share their enchantments with worthy adventurers.
Join us dressed up as a fairy, hobbit, elf, or wizard and set off on an adventure through the ancient site. Seek out magical photo spots and share your fantasy snaps with #mothershiptons for a chance to win free tickets to come back again!
After your quest, relax and refuel at our vintage-style kiosks with cool drinks, ice creams, and fairy-approved treats. Little ones can burn off energy in our Adventure Playground (weather permitting), and our magical Gift Shop is filled with treasures to take a piece of the magic home.
All this alongside our unforgettable historic attractions:
• Mother Shipton’s Cave
• The Petrifying Well
• The Wishing Well
• A scenic mile-long walk along the River Nidd
This immersive event is perfect for families, fantasy fans, and magical beings of all ages — even dogs are welcome on leads (except in the playground and shop).
Event Dates: Saturday 19th July – Sunday 31st August
